About Dr. Ida DeLiberis
Dr. Ida C. DeLiberis is the owner of Rockville Psychological Services. Dr. DeLiberis is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has over 15 years of experience working in a variety of settings including private practice, public school systems, mental health clinics, substance abuse treatment centers, forensic settings, and skilled nursing, rehab, and assisted living facilities. Dr. DeLiberis earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited program at the American School of Professional Psychology (ASPP), Washington, DC. She also earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the ASPP. Dr. DeLiberis graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Scranton. She is licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in Maryland, New Jersey, Iowa, and Michigan, and she is a member of PSYPACT.

Dr. DeLiberis has been trained in a variety of theoretical orientations such as psychodynamic, interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, and humanistic/existential psychotherapies. Her therapeutic approach is integrative, strength-based, and client-centered, utilizing evidence-based treatment strategies to individually tailor treatment to the unique needs of her patients. Her therapeutic style is warm, empathic, and collaborative. She provides a comfortable, respectful, non-judgmental, and supportive space for exploration and discussion of the patient's issues. Dr. DeLiberis works with patients to gain insights into their behavior, decrease symptoms, and empower change in order to achieve more fulfilling relationships, increase self-understanding, and improve overall quality of life.
Clinical Expertise and Interest
Specific areas of clinical expertise and interest include mood disorders, anxiety disorders,
women’s issues, women’s reproductive issues reproductive challenges (infertility, pregnancy loss, and pre and post-partum issues), adjustment issues/life transitions, relationship issues/conflicts, anger management, grief, LGBTQIA+, and trauma. Dr. DeLiberis is available to see adolescents and adults ages 13 years and older for individual therapy, family therapy and group therapy.
